Take time to talk with the teams and see how they communicate their journey, network with their beneficiaries, schools and business Dragons. In October 2018, teams of Year 12s (the Apprentices) were paired with a business mentor (their Dragon) and tasked with developing a business plan based idea to turn £100 into £1000+ for a local charity - they had less than 5 months to make it happen. What did they do? How much did they earn? How did they promote their beneficiaries? It is increasingly important in today’s economic climate to maximise all opportunities that you have to raise income. This course is aimed at those who are looking at new ways of funding programmes and exploring earned income opportunities for their charity. It will also be useful for those who are considering developing a social enterprise to support their charity’s programmes.
