6 years ago, did I think I would be putting myself forward for election, as a Chair of a local charity?
I took on a CEO role and had the hill to climb to understand the world of charity working, however in my journey to today, I have learnt a lot. I know more, and know who else knows more than that, through my network with other charities and ability to share their knowledge too.
What was my motivation?
Much of our work in the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector revolves around kindness and all the good that grows out of it.
At North Herts & Stevenage CVS we are privileged to witness, support and celebrate the remarkable acts of kindness carried out by groups, and the generosity and compassion demonstrated by individuals who volunteer to give a helping hand in our community.
