Happy World Kindness Day!

Much of our work in the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector revolves around kindness and all the good that grows out of it.

At North Herts & Stevenage CVS we are privileged to witness, support and celebrate the remarkable acts of kindness carried out by groups, and the generosity and compassion demonstrated by individuals who volunteer to give a helping hand in our community.

To me, this is kindness personified.

Today I would like to ask if you could kindly give a helping hand to us at the CVS?

We are running a survey – it’s called ‘all about us’ – until 21st November.  We have got off to a good start, but we’d like more people to respond.  It’s directed towards VCFSE groups, based or operating in North Hertfordshire. By completing the survey, you will help us shape our services to ensure our support of the sector is the most effective possible and aid us to spread kindness even further.

The survey is online here https://www.nhcvs.org.uk/resources/all-about-us

Oh, and not to forget there are some great prizes to be won via a free prize draw open to anyone completing the survey.

We would also appreciate it if you could share social media posts about this – and our work.

Thank you for being part of our online community, we value your support.

One final thought about kindness. From the American memoirist, poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou:

My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness.

Kindness is the key.
