Breakaway Play Assistant

Breakaway Playschemes Coordinator

15 hours per week, £26,000 per annum pro rata

Fixed term 1 year (to be extended subject to ongoing project funding)

Hybrid working model involving a mix of working at our Hitchin office, from home and occasionally at our Playscheme sites in Stevenage.

Breakaway is a fun and interactive playscheme for children with additional needs, providing vital respite to families during the school holidays and on Saturdays. We are looking for a highly organised person with exceptional admin skills to join the team providing support to the Breakaway Manager to plan our Saturday and holiday club playschemes and ensure that our Play Assistants and Leaders have everything they need.

£11.44 per hour

Could You Be Our Newest Trustee?


We are looking to welcome two new trustees to join our organisation, making our full board of eight. You’d be part of a growing charity, with a key role in championing and supporting the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in our locality.


As well as understanding the challenges around the running of a small charity that is growing, we have identified that our organisation will particularly benefit from skills in:

  • Fundraising
  • Marketing
  • HR
