Hitchin Pantry is offering 6 months free membership for Ukrainian families. Members of the pantry will be able to access food, including fresh fruit and vegetables and store cupboard favourites, to the value of £15 or more every week.

 

Walsworth Road Baptist Church are open on Saturdays from 10am and 12pm to offer a warm space, refreshments, board games, toys and activities as well as English language support to all.

 

A Warm Welcome Space at Zeo Centre is open to all individuals and families offering a place to hang out on Wednesdays from 1730 until 1930. You can enjoy FREE hot/cold drinks, a FREE two-course cooked meal, charge your phone, do some work (or homework), a listening ear if you need one, space and toys for kids to play, FREE Wifi access and accessible toilets.

 

Refresh at Christchurch in Hitchin is offering a warm space to get together on Tuesday mornings - free coffee/tea, cake and biscuits and a very warm welcome for all during these cold winter months. All welcome.

 

Baldock and Ashwell Action Aid Ukraine are a group of local volunteers supporting refugees and host families in the area.  They put on regular events and have lots of useful information.

 

St Mary's Church in Walkern, Stevenage are running a coffee morning at 10 am every Wednesday for Ukrainian guests and their hosts. A foodbank is available at the same time.
 
Hitchin Food Rescue Hub is open on Thursdays from 0930 to 1100 at The Half Moon Public House, Queen Street, Hitchin.

 

Climb Hitchin is offering free climbing sessions for Ukrainian guests in North Herts. These must be booked in advance (as numbers of climbers are limited per session). North Herts has many food provision groups. Some of the groups aim to help those in need, some aim to reduce food waste and others do a combination of the two. A full list of these groups is available on the NHC website.
